Search Me - Zahir Jaffer was found guilty of the murder of Noor Muqaddam and condemned to death.

The court sentenced Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor murder case, to death and the two co-accused to ten years in jail, while acquitting all treatment workers, including the accused's parents, Zakir and Ismat Adam.

Ata Rabbani, an Additional Sessions Judge in Rawalpindi, delivered a brief verdict today in the Noor Muqaddam murder case, which had been reserved since February 22. The main culprit, Zahir Jaffer, was condemned to death by the court for the murder of Khatun Noor Muqaddam, while the convict's father, Zakir Jaffer, and mother, Ismat Adam, were acquitted.

All six Therapy Works employees were acquitted, however two prisoners, Iftikhar Choukidar and Mali Jan Mohammad, were sentenced to ten years in prison for aiding and abetting the crime.

It should be recalled that 12 people were indicted on October 14 of last year, including the primary suspect, Zahir Jaffer. On the decision of the Islamabad High Court, the case's trial was completed in a record-breaking four months.

Noor Muqaddam's father, Shaukat Muqaddam, told the media after the verdict that justice had been served today and that Noor's soul must have been relieved. "Our main demand was that the killer be brought to justice." Yes, and our request has been fulfilled today.
