Newly elected Prime Minister has announced an increase in the minimum wage to $25,000 and a pension hike
ISLAMABAD : Shahbaz Sharif , the newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan , has declared a monthly minimum income of Rs 25,000. In his first address to the National Assembly as Prime Minister , he made the news. He stated that a minimum monthly wage of Rs. 25,000 will be paid across the country beginning April 1st . He also proposed a 10% rise in pensions , which he said would begin on April 1. Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif has urged investors to raise their employees' salaries by 10 percent, up to one lakh rupees.
